There’s nothing like an email stating ‘£5 burgers today only’ to get me down to my local Frankie & Benny’s in Evesham. Honestly I spend that much on food, £5 for a meal where you don’t have to do any cleaning up after is an offer that can’t be refused!
When we entered I asked for a gluten free menu and one was given to me swiftly as we sat down. I couldn’t believe how much the menu had expanded for us gluten free eaters since the last time we had been, Frankie and Benny’s are really upping their game. From Burgers to Pizza, Pasta, Steak, Ribs, Chicken Skewers and Puddings they’ve pretty much got most bases covered.
The waitress came over and took our order, she was very attentive and made sure to make a note I was intolerant to not only gluten but lactose also. I went for the House Special Burger – 6oz* burger with F&B’s signature burger sauce, fried onions and gherkin and omg was it good. I was particularly impressed with the bun. Didn’t fall apart, wasn’t dry and was the same size as the normal buns! I love the burgers here because they chargrill them and you get the best flavour.
Frankie and Benny’s are coeliac accredited too which is always a bonus, means separate cooking and prep areas. Right now the burgers come with a jacket potato, can’t wait until they do separate fryers so we can have the chips too!
