Early Mother’s Day treat for me this weekend, I wanted to go somewhere I hadn’t eaten for a while so we decided on GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen)
Our nearest one is in Worcester, if you are local or passing by I suggest visiting here as there are a good few gluten free places to eat.
I was given my own gluten free menu when we sat down which included burgers, salads, sides and sauces. What I like about Gourmet Burger Kitchen is that you can order from your app or go up to the counter when you’re ready, so no time pressure. When there are so many mouth watering options it normally takes me a while to decide! Not coeliac accredited but they do have separate preparation areas for non gluten containing food.
The manager took my order, not sure if that’s how it always is here, but he was very thorough and read my order back to me to make sure it was correct. I went for the classic lamb burger and a side of chargrilled corn. The fries here are fried with other gluten containing ingredients so I decided not to go for those, in my opinion the chargrilled corn is equally as tasty. Beef patties are cooked medium by tradition but you can ask for different, lamb is cooked well done.
Only took a few minutes for my order to arrive. The gluten free bun was really tasty and the lamb burger was chargrilled to perfection. Super tasty and made me realise I need to eat here more often!
