This week we found ourselves in Cheltenham town centre, I’m not going to lie, wherever I happen to be going I will always base my day out around food.
We decided we would eat at Carluccio’s. It’s a great Italian restaurant and what’s more it’s accredited by Coeliac UK so you know you’re going to have a safe meal. I love this place because it’s open all day so you’re not tied down by time , breakfast, lunch, dinner … they’ve got it. All 3 menus come with their own dedicated gluten free menu and they always adapt their chefs special menu to be gluten free where possible. With dedicated cooking and preparation areas for gluten free, I always feel safe knowing there will be no cross contamination with my food.
I was given a gluten free menu to choose from and told that if I wanted something off the chefs special menu to let them know and they will sort it out for me, music to my ears!
I was hungry so decided to go for starter and main this time round. The starter was off the chefs special menu named ‘Vitello Tonato’ thin slices of chilled British rose veal, tuna sauce , rocket and capers..divine. Followed by a steaming bowl of Turbot and Mussels also off the specials menu. Totally gluten free and no adjustments needed.
Great food, great taste, great atmosphere and great knowledge all round by the staff. We will be back again for sure.
