Friday saw me making the most of the sun and having lunch out at my local Lounge Restaurant – Orto Lounge. It’s within a stones throw for me to get to so seemed appropriate for an impromptu lunch.
Lounge restaurants are located across the country and all called something slightly different. With mismatched lampshades, quirky pictures,comfy sofas and an amazing cocktail list, alongside the dedicated gluten free menu I couldn’t think of anywhere better to go and very often find myself eating here. The staff in my particular branch are amazing with me, they reassure you they take extra care with your order when ordering at the bar, I’m lactose intolerant too so they made some slight adjustments to my meal, nothing seemed too much trouble.
I ordered the Gluten Free Chicken, Bacon & Avocado Burger , which was made up of a grilled herb-marinated chicken breast with smoked streaky bacon, avocado, red onion, tomato, lettuce, roasted garlic mayo and burger sauce, all inside a gluten free seeded bun. I opted for a salad on the side and it comes with homemade slaw ! Sweet potato or normal fries are also an option, fried on their own with no other gluten containing ingredients which is great! They also do a gluten free (also vegan) Dark Chocolate and Orange Torte, which I was being too good to have this time round but I thoroughly suggest having some if you ever visit!
I’ve never had an issue eating at any of the Lounges Restaurants so it gets a 10/10 every time.
